Alan Hirsch talks about what he says is the DNA of The Church As A Movement:
6 Elements:
1: The Centerpiece of it All: Jesus is Lord. Everything revolves around this.
2.Discipleship/Disciplemaking: How the believer lives out the Lordship of Christ.
3.Missional/Incarnational Impulse: God is the Missionary God and we are a sent people, He sends us among people who need Him to show Him there.
4:Apostolic Environment: we must have missional ministry to have missional churches
5: Organic Systems: Decentralized, every member has the DNA of the whole, every follower of Jesus has the potential in them to do all that God puts in their heart for the advancement of the Mission of Jesus.
6: Communitas, Not Just Community: It is community forged together through common mission and the struggle around this, not just being together but being together on Mission.
What do you think?
Church as Family: 3 of my friends who are pastors and leaders in EFCA sharing about their journey into more organic forms of being the church on the mission of Jesus.
Good stuff.
God is love.
May we exalt and enthrone King Jesus on high in our hearts and our minds, in our churches and our homes, in our passions and our thoughts, in our words and deeds.
There is no substitute that can satisfy or rightfully take His place whether moralism or ministry, religion or rules, pleasure or pragmatism.
Christ is all and He deserves all praise.
May Christ have the preeminence in all things.

please join me in praying for noah and kate cremisino, our friends who were house church leaders here in denver that we had the privilege of commissioning/sending to christchurch, nz to help network and plant organic churches, be missionaries to the largest city on the south island, and work with ywam by hosting an outreach house for them in the city.
here’s their latest update video. you can get more info about what they are doing, how to pray for them and how to support them at noahandkate.com
So my friend John White had his iphone handy and recorded this awesome story of what took place when Nick responded to the call to come and be prayed for during a denver house church all-gathering we had this past weekend (friday & saturday, may 21st and 22nd). Crystal felt the Lord wanted her to pray for Nick’s knee to be healed. Awesome stuff ensued.
One of the coolest things was that both of these two were skeptical and yet God broke through this skepticism and increased all of our faith in His mighty power.
Soli Deo Gloria.
Sorry about the sound quality. Turn up your speakers.
This weekend we had a city-wide gathering called Hearts of Fire. Here is one of the special stories from the event. (I was standing just to the left of the screen :)
